Our Treatments are Performed by a Certified Physician & Certified StaffDr. Gina Charles (Dr. G), is a board certified family and aesthetic physician who specializes in treating ethnic skin. She has been recognized nationally for her expertise in whole body wellness and as an ethnic skin doctor in Philadelphia. Dr. G completed her residency at UPMC Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and prior to that, earned her Osteopathic Medical Degree at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey.
Dr. G, sometimes referred to as the “Self Care Beauty Doc”, has fused her personal skincare experience, medical knowledge, and passion for self-care into birthing Serenity Aesthetics & Wellness
After decades of battling hyperpigmentation and working as a bridal beauty entrepreneur, Dr. G furthered her education in aesthetics, furnishing herself with requisite skill and knowledge to help others improve discoloration and maintain healthy skin. In 2018, Dr. G has fused her personal skincare experience, medical knowledge, and passion for self-care into birthing Serenity Aesthetics & Wellness Medical Spa, where she focuses on improving conditions affecting ethnic skin and provide clients with a holistic approach to beauty. Through aesthetic practices and whole body wellness, Dr. G is passionate about making her clients feel and look their best, leading to confidence elevation.
Dr. G has been featured in Forbes magazine, Women’s Health magazine, Essence magazine, and Fox news. She is a member of the Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania, National Coalition of 100 Black Women HBG Chapter, and ACOFP Women’s Leadership. Dr. G also mentors pre-medical and medical students on their medical journey. When she isn’t practicing family medicine, aesthetics, or women’s advocacy, you can find her traveling with her husband and two children, listening to podcasts/audiobooks, and dancing to soca music and Beyonce.
